This role is with Urmi Chemicals, based in Sion East, Mumbai, near the railway station.
Working Hours
The work schedule is from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM with half-day offs on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays.
Salary Details
The monthly compensation ranges from INR 30,000 to INR 40,000.
Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Import Executive responsible for overseeing the company's import operations to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently. The position involves coordinating with international suppliers, handling import-related documentation, ensuring customs clearance is timely, and facilitating the delivery process of imported goods to the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with overseas suppliers to discuss orders, trade terms, and shipping details.
- Manage administrative tasks including order placement, opening Letters of Credit, scheduling shipments, and maintaining comprehensive import documentation.
- Work in tandem with Customs House Agents to file Bills of Entry and expedite clearance of materials.
- Oversee RODTEP and ROSCTL licenses to maximize duty benefits, keeping meticulous records to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements to move imported goods from the port to the warehouse located in Bhiwandi.
- Keep the Sales Department well-informed regarding incoming material schedules.
- Handle payments related to outstanding Letters of Credit and ensure proper closure of Bills of Entry within the IDPMS system.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word for documentation and coordination.
- Basic IT skills to facilitate documentation processes.
- Strong communication and coordination capabilities.
- High attention to detail ensuring accuracy in documentation and scheduling.
Educational Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, or a similar field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in import operations or logistics is essential.
