Job description
Role Overview
With over nine years of experience in managing MES and Ignition systems across manufacturing settings, this role requires in-depth proficiency in PLCs, SCADA, and MES integration. The ideal candidate is skilled with industrial communication protocols such as OPC, MQTT, and Modbus, and is adept at configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Ignition and MES platforms. A strong understanding of SQL databases and scripting within Ignition, ISA-95 architecture, MES/OT integration layers, IT/OT convergence, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity standards is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support deployment and integration of new features, configurations, and interfaces involving FactoryTalk and Ignition systems.
- Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to facilitate seamless communication between Ignition, PLCs, MES, and ERP systems.
- Conduct thorough analysis of system logs and root cause diagnostics to resolve hardware and software issues affecting MES and OT.
- Provide timely support to minimize production outages caused by system failures.
- Maintain detailed documentation pertaining to troubleshooting activities, system setups, and modifications.
- Produce and distribute performance reports showing system uptime and availability metrics regularly.
- Deliver training sessions to plant staff and operators to promote effective use and best practices of MES frameworks.
- Engage with suppliers and external stakeholders to address and escalate complex technical challenges.
- Ensure strict compliance with corporate IT/OT guidelines, including cybersecurity mandates, and stay abreast of emerging trends in MES, Ignition, and PLC technologies.
Required Expertise
- Extensive hands-on experience with MES and Ignition systems in manufacturing environments for over nine years.
- Practical knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and MES integration workflows.
- Strong familiarity with industrial protocols like OPC, MQTT, and Modbus.
- Expertise in SQL database management and scripting related to Ignition software.
- Comprehensive understanding of ISA-95 architectural principles and MES/OT integration considerations.
- Awareness of IT/OT convergence topics, network architectures, and cybersecurity frameworks applicable to manufacturing environments.
Additional Details
This is a full-time position based onsite in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India with responsibilities spanning technical support, integration, troubleshooting, training, and compliance within industrial automation systems.
