Role Overview
The HR Systems Analyst will work closely with the HR Systems lead to implement and support a new HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring seamless data migration, compliance, and system efficiency across multiple countries and regulatory environments. This role is vital to scaling Wave’s HR technology infrastructure and improving operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration to the new HRIS platform in 2026 by managing system configuration, data migration, quality assurance, and testing while maintaining operational continuity.
- Customize workflows and processes within the HRIS to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Implement and optimize HR workflows including launching a service desk, monitoring adherence to policies, and streamlining automation to reduce redundancies.
- Manage upcoming system integrations in Talent Management, Workforce Management, and Payroll systems.
- Oversee updates, patches, and testing of HR systems for uninterrupted functionality.
- Provide training for HR team members and end-users on system functionalities and updates.
- Serve as the primary technical support contact for system troubleshooting.
- Lead data quality management projects across HR, Talent, and Payroll teams ensuring consistent standards and conducting audits to resolve discrepancies.
- Develop dashboards and reports linking performance and learning data to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA and maintain accurate documentation of system processes and configurations.
Candidate Requirements
- Fluent in English with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least three years experience managing HRIS platforms in large organizations (over 5,000 employees).
- Expertise with Workday and knowledge of multiple HR modules like Talent Management, HCM, Compensation, and Learning & Development.
- Proven track record with full HRIS lifecycle implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Advanced skills in HRIS configuration, workflow creation, and reporting tools.
- Strong competency in data management, analytics, and BI tools such as Power BI or Looker.
- Experience collaborating on system integrations using APIs and middleware with integration teams.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

Additional Information
- This is a fully remote role, open to candidates based in Wave’s talent hubs (UK, Spain, Kenya, Ghana) or operating markets across Africa (Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso).
- Work hours typically between UTC-1 and UTC+3 with reliable internet and work authorization.
- An annual one-week immersion trip to Africa is required with all expenses covered by Wave.
- Competitive salary range from $66,400 to $75,800 depending on level and location, plus equity.
