About the Position

Responsibilities

• Clean thoroughly all shared spaces such as lobbies, corridors, and stairways.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitize kitchens and bathrooms.
• Collect and dispose of residents' refuse following established protocols.
• Document completion of routine housekeeping tasks accurately.
• Conduct audits and inspections as needed.
• Provide personal laundry services for residents upon request.
• Communicate supply requirements promptly to supervisory personnel.
• Use housekeeping supplies and equipment efficiently to maintain service quality.
• Restock and maintain housekeeping cart and report low inventory to supervisors.
• Promote a safety-first culture by adhering to safe work practices, reporting hazards, wearing protective gear, and supporting colleagues in safety.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least one year of experience in commercial housekeeping and/or laundry services.
• Strong dedication to completing housekeeping tasks efficiently with a warm, customer-service focus.
• Effective communication skills to interact courteously with internal team members and external clients.
• Knowledge of infection control and prevention standards.
• Competency operating cleaning machines such as auto scrubbers, floor buffers, and vacuums.
• Experience working with seniors or within senior living environments is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision safely handling chemical cleaning agents and equipment.
• Clear criminal record check required before hiring; vulnerable sector check may also be necessary.
• Completion of Dementia: Understanding the Journey course and valid First Aid & CPR certification are considered assets.
• Passion for supporting seniors through quality accommodation and care services.
