Hotel Maintenance Helper

Overview

This position requires working onsite in Fernie, British Columbia, within a variety of commercial and residential settings including hotels, restaurants, apartments, and offices. Candidates should have a certificate, diploma, or equivalent experience in trades and a proficiency in English.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to clear debris such as scraps, dirt, and heavy refuse.
• Carry out minor appliance repairs to maintain functionality.
• Conduct safety and security inspections to ensure a secure environment.
• Relocate heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies safely across worksites.
• Clean and disinfect bathroom areas and fixtures thoroughly.
• Perform snow and ice removal from walkways and parking lots during inclement weather.
• Operate with limited direct supervision while maintaining high standards.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Work in diverse weather conditions.
• Tasks involve repetitive motions and physically demanding activities including lifting heavy loads and frequent bending, crouching, or kneeling.
