Overview
If you thrive in roles that involve assessing damage firsthand and managing repair processes efficiently, this opportunity as a Home Assessor is tailored for you. You will visit customers' sites, evaluate damage, liaise with builders to ensure repairs proceed on time, and consistently deliver excellent customer service, representing the Youi Insurance brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform onsite damage inspections and make informed decisions backed by thorough documentation to facilitate repair progress.
- Collaborate directly with builders to review repair scopes, resolve conflicts, and maintain momentum on repair timelines.
- Engage face-to-face with customers to explain next steps, outcomes, and address their concerns clearly.
- Manage a daily schedule of claim inspections, scope preparations, follow-ups, and required documentation.
- Utilize online systems regularly to complete and submit reports accurately.
- Be prepared to support national catastrophe responses by travelling as needed to affected locations.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in roles such as Insurance Assessor, Loss Adjuster, Builder, Restoration Specialist, or Estimator with hands-on exposure to repair scoping and customer or builder collaboration.
- Alternatively, experience in Desktop Home Assessing or Home Claims Management is acceptable.

Additional Information
You will primarily work across Ipswich, extending out to Toowoomba and surrounding areas. While this position is predominantly on the road for site assessments, you will periodically complete assessments from your desk. National travel may be necessary during significant catastrophe events to provide additional support.
