Job Overview

The Helper’s role involves routine mechanical equipment servicing including lubrication, minor maintenance, and assisting mechanics with more complex repairs. Duties may vary to support FieldCore’s vision and core values.

Responsibilities

  • Lubricate machinery following specified procedures; perform oil, filter, and air filter changes; service vehicles including fuel checks and replacement of hoses, belts, water pumps, batteries, and components.
  • Inspect safety equipment such as fan belts, wiper blades, radiators, batteries; monitor water and antifreeze levels; check and adjust tire pressures; repair or replace flat tires as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of performed maintenance and schedule future servicing requirements.
  • Clean and upkeep workshop equipment and facilities.
  • Support mechanics in executing moderate to complex power equipment repairs and overhauls.
  • Utilize testing devices like ammeters, voltmeters, and gauges to diagnose equipment issues and repair needs.
  • Complete any other assigned tasks aligned with operational goals.
  • Travel extensively both domestically and internationally.
  • Willingness to work during holidays, weekends, and overtime as per fieldwork demands.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least one year of experience maintaining and repairing a variety of mechanical equipment.

Desired Attributes

  • Familiarity with purchasing protocols, automotive and construction mechanical parts, and standard maintenance tools and practices.
  • Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions, maintain routine records, and perform manual labor effectively.
