Role Summary
The Heavy Vehicle Driver role within CARACAL Light Ammunition at EDGE Group involves facilitating supply chain activity by safely transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials across company and client sites. The role requires strict adherence to UAE traffic laws and company safety protocols to ensure timely, secure deliveries and proper vehicle maintenance.
Key Duties
- Transport materials and goods securely while obeying company policies and legal regulations.
- Handle loading, unloading, and the safe storage of transported items.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and transport records.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and manage maintenance schedules to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Support logistics and warehouse operations, including moving inventory and materials.
- Ensure constant compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security standards as well as UAE traffic regulations.
Qualifications
- Completed High School Certificate or equivalent diploma.
- Possession of a valid UAE heavy vehicle driving license appropriate to the vehicle category.
- Three to five years of heavy vehicle driving experience within the UAE.
- Comprehensive understanding of UAE traffic laws and commitment to safe driving practices.
Preferred Attributes
- Certification in forklift operation or relevant experience in material handling.
- Background in transporting hazardous materials or explosives.
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, or industrial sectors.
