Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop software teams across multiple international locations, providing both personnel and technical guidance.
• Take full responsibility for the strategic software solutions and architecture of SEB Professional software platforms throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Define, refine, and ensure consistent software strategies, engineering culture, and up-to-date development processes across sites and brands.
• Strategically plan and manage development projects, overseeing resources, scheduling, costs, quality, build and version control, and documentation.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies, methods, and tools while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A completed technical degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Several years of senior-level software development experience focused on mechatronic systems, including demonstrated leadership in an international context and willingness to travel internationally.
• Strong expertise in relevant software domains such as embedded systems, PC applications, distributed systems, web back-end/front-end, and mobile platforms.
• A solid foundational understanding of mechanics/hardware, sensors, actuators, and control engineering.
• Proven experience with modern development methodologies, UML, object-oriented programming, requirements and risk management approaches (e.g., FMEA, fault tree analysis) and familiarity with tools like Polarion.
• Fluent German and English language skills at a minimum C1 level, along with excellent communication and decision-making abilities and a structured, fact-based working style.
