Role Overview

The Handyman is responsible for promptly and effectively addressing maintenance issues reported during shifts or through verbal instructions. Duties encompass general repairs and upkeep across hotel security, swimming pools, grounds, guest rooms, and various hotel areas. Tasks include basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and decorating.

Requirements

• Completion of Matric certificate
• Between 3 to 5 years of experience in handyman or maintenance roles
• Additional relevant qualifications are an advantage and may influence salary
• Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to stay composed under pressure
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
• Effective communication skills with staff and guests alike
• High levels of honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity
