Group Treasury Manager

Overview

The Group Treasury Manager is accountable for overseeing the Group's banking operations, spanning both Retail and Online sectors. This role ensures tight governance, control, and visibility regarding cash flows, balances, and liquidity management across multiple entities, currencies, and platforms. Based at the Dundalk headquarters, this pivotal position reports directly to the Finance Director and collaborates closely with finance teams and other key stakeholders.

Core Duties

• Supervise the administration of all corporate bank accounts, ensuring proper structures, documentation, and controls are in place across different entities and currencies (mainly Euro and GBP).
• Lead the treasury team to perform timely, accurate monthly bank reconciliations, focusing on completeness and swift issue resolution.
• Handle complex, voluminous reconciliations across multiple online platforms and payment streams by coordinating with internal and external parties.
• Manage multi-currency funding and liquidity to maintain adequate operational balances.
• Oversee short-term investments and manage foreign exchange exposure.
• Champion automation initiatives and process improvements to increase treasury operational efficiency.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Maintain and enhance robust treasury controls, including segregation of duties, approval processes, access controls, and clear procedural documentation.
• Apply sound judgment in treasury matters, escalating concerns promptly to senior finance management when necessary.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and banking partners during system and financial audits, ensuring no significant control issues arise.
• Conduct treasury operations with the utmost integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with Security, Operations, and Finance teams to adhere to cash profile policies.
• Work alongside payment and banking providers to optimize key performance indicators such as decline rates, chargebacks, and reconciliation accuracy.
• Coordinate closely with financial reporting teams to fulfill reporting deadlines effectively.
• Prepare and refine management information related to treasury activities.
• Manage relationships with third-party providers to support active treasury involvement.

Reporting & Forecasting

• Generate essential treasury KPIs and cash flow forecasts, providing transparency on near- and mid-term liquidity status.
• Deliver analytical support for various treasury projects and system enhancements as needed.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead the treasury team by setting specific, measurable objectives, planning succession, and organizing training to foster continuous growth.
• Encourage an accountable, collaborative culture emphasizing improvement and strong interdepartmental cooperation.
• Offer strategic advice on managing cash balances and bank accounts effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a senior or managerial treasury role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Extensive knowledge of treasury operations involving transactional volume and dynamic industry conditions.
• Proficient in IT systems and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Solution-driven mindset with strong communication skills across hierarchical levels, coupled with a straightforward yet professional approach.
• Maintains high confidentiality and integrity due to the sensitive nature of treasury activities.
