Job description
Overview
Join our Group Accounting & Controlling Team in Freiburg, where you will manage key controlling and planning operations across our corporate group. This pivotal position acts as a liaison among the holding company, subsidiaries, and stakeholders, driving the enhancement of financial processes group-wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the group-wide planning cycle encompassing budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze, interpret, and present financial and planning data effectively.
- Develop and refine group reporting systems.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and produce decision-making support documents.
- Serve as a point of contact for subsidiaries on advanced controlling and accounting issues.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under HGB standards.
- Participate in post-merger financial integrations.
- Lead and support business-related projects.
- Advance finance processes and data models across the group.
- Collaborate closely with Group Treasury, Investment Management/M&A, Risk, and Strategy departments.
- Act as a key user of our financial performance management system.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable qualification, with practical experience highly valued.
- Several years of expertise in group or financial controlling.
- Comprehensive commercial understanding including the mechanics behind accounting entries.
- Proficiency in profit and loss statements and ideally experience with integrated planning involving balance sheets, profit & loss, and cash flow forecasts.
- Strong knowledge of German commercial law (HGB) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with LucaNet or similar consolidation software, ERP systems, BI tools, and data analysis methodologies.
Additional Details
- Working hours: Full-time.
- Language requirements: Fluent German (C2 or higher) and intermediate English (B2).
