About The Role

We seek a dedicated grounds maintenance operator to support various gardening activities. This role demands physical endurance, a sharp eye for detail, and adaptability to outdoor work in diverse weather conditions. Candidates passionate about plant care and eager to develop horticultural expertise will find this position rewarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Support garden upkeep by performing tasks such as hedging, weeding, pruning, planting, and mulching.
• Use hand tools including hedgers, blowers, and whipper snippers, as well as petrol-powered equipment like push mowers and ride-on machinery responsibly and under supervision.
• Manage the loading and unloading of plants, materials, and equipment from vehicles.
• Keep workspaces, tools, and machinery clean and well organized.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for yourself and team members.
• Operate advanced automated line-marking machinery to mark lines precisely as per guidelines, maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong dedication to efficient, high-quality work. Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related area will be advantageous. The position is physically challenging, requiring safe lifting of heavy items and the ability to bend, squat, kneel, and stand for long durations. Effective teamwork and the ability to follow directions are critical for success. Candidates must hold a current driver's license and either have or be willing to acquire a white card and Working with Children Check.
