About the Role

Downer is offering an entry-level opportunity for a Groundsperson to join the permanent team at Duntroon Military College, located in Canberra. This role involves a variety of grounds maintenance duties to support the upkeep of the site and gardens. Candidates from diverse backgrounds, whether possessing Defence experience, industry knowledge, or relevant transferable skills, are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and upkeep of grounds and garden areas.
• Identify and control risks associated with grounds maintenance activities.
• Receive training to operate various groundskeeping equipment such as ride-on mowers and whipper snippers.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a valid open driver’s licence.
• Eligibility to acquire and retain a Defence Security Clearance (must be an Australian citizen).
• A strong work ethic, positive mindset, and dedication to delivering high-quality results.
