Role Overview
The Grocery Clerk plays a vital role in executing daily duties with professionalism, accuracy, and timeliness. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service, enhancing customer loyalty, meeting customer needs, and promoting engagement among employees and customers alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety standards, corporate policies, and related initiatives.
- Order, receive, and stock merchandise in line with company inventory control guidelines when necessary.
- Provide top-tier customer service aimed at fulfilling customer requirements.
- Drive sales growth by actively promoting featured products.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of back shop and retail floors according to company standards.
- Prepare customer orders as needed.
- Manage department shrink processes when required.
- Assist in the induction and training of junior team members.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Capability to independently handle tasks efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills above average level.
- Physical ability to lift items up to 20 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and reaching.
