Role Overview

We are recruiting a skilled Graphic Installer to strengthen our production and installation team located at Snap, Briarhill Business Park, Ballybrit, Galway. The main responsibility is to professionally prepare and install vehicle graphics such as vinyl wraps, decals, and fleet branding on various vehicle types including cars, vans, and commercial trucks.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Expertly install vinyl graphics, vehicle wraps, decals, and lettering on cars, vans, and commercial vehicles.
  • Prepare vehicle surfaces by thorough cleaning and inspection to ensure suitability for graphic application.
  • Interpret job specifications, measurements, and installation instructions accurately prior to starting each task.
  • Properly position and align vinyl graphics on vehicle panels to achieve the desired aesthetic and finish.
  • Skillfully cut, trim, and shape vinyl to fit around vehicle components such as doors, windows, edges, and recesses.
  • Remove, adjust, and refit vehicle external fittings as needed to enable optimal installation.
  • Utilize specialized tools and application methods to safely and precisely complete graphic installations.
  • Conduct quality checks on surfaces and finished installations to confirm alignment, adhesion, and overall standards, correcting issues where necessary.
  • Remove old graphics and prepare surfaces for new installations when required.
  • Manage fleet branding projects across multiple vehicles ensuring uniformity in application and quality.
  • Identify any potential installation challenges early and communicate with production and sales teams for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of job progress and completion within the company's management system.
  • Comply with company quality standards and adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Represent Snap professionally while working on client premises ensuring customer satisfaction with completed work.
  • Deliver finished signage and printed products to customers and obtain proof of delivery when required.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • A minimum of two years' hands-on experience in vehicle graphics installation, wrapping, or fleet branding.
  • Proven capability in applying vinyl graphics and decorative materials to various vehicle body types.
  • Strong practical expertise in preparing vehicle surfaces and applying vinyl material with precision and quality control.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and follow detailed instructions to achieve customer specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of installation tools, materials, and equipment, along with safe work practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with capability to detect and resolve installation and quality problems.
  • Good understanding of Quality management systems, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Self-reliant with the ability to work solo at client locations and collaboratively within the production and installation team.

Additional Requirements

  • Experience within the print industry is essential.
  • At least three years' experience in a similar production role.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with a professional demeanor and strong customer focus.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to generate reports as necessary.
  • Fluent English communication skills and a clean driving license are mandatory.
  • A willingness to learn and openness to constructive feedback.
