About the Role
The Kingsley is looking for a dependable and detail-focused Goods Receiving Associate to handle all incoming deliveries. This role is vital as the first checkpoint in our supply chain, ensuring that all items including fresh kitchen produce, fine wines, linens, and guest amenities meet stringent standards for quality, quantity, and safety prior to acceptance into the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload incoming shipments of freight, food, beverages, and hotel supplies at the loading dock.
- Check items against purchase orders, delivery dockets, and invoices; conduct temperature checks on refrigerated and frozen goods to uphold food safety standards.
- Examine goods for defects or spoilage, reject unsuitable stock, and immediately report discrepancies or damages to the Purchasing Manager.
- Maintain accurate daily records of received goods in the inventory management system to support stock tracking and invoice processing.
- Safely deliver goods to relevant hotel departments such as kitchen storage, housekeeping, engineering, and beverage cellars.
- Keep the loading dock area clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene and safety regulations including HACCP standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in goods receiving, inventory control, or stores management, ideally within hospitality or food service.
- Experience using inventory or hotel procurement software systems.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations, with HACCP certification preferred.
- Physical capability to frequently lift weights up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Strong attention to detail, basic computer literacy, and effective communication skills with vendors and internal teams.
