About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader to oversee operations at the Prestige Beach House in Kelowna, British Columbia, a prime location known as the gateway to the Okanagan featuring scenic mountains, lakes, beaches, orchards, and vineyards. The property is ideally situated near City Park, Hot Sands Beach, Prospera Place, and Kelowna's cultural district.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the General Manager will be accountable for managing all aspects of hotel operations such as financial results, revenue management, guest satisfaction, vendor agreements, sales direction, human resources, and facility upkeep.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A visionary leader who identifies and nurtures leadership potential in others
  • Minimum of five years supervisory experience within the hospitality industry
  • Post-secondary credentials in hotel or business management or related disciplines are preferred
  • Willingness to address challenges directly and with integrity
  • Exemplifies strong ethics, prudent decision-making, resourcefulness, managerial capabilities, and confidence
  • Results-driven with a strong work ethic
  • Proficient in financial management including revenue optimization, inventory control, hotel management software, accounting basics, payroll, and reporting
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to diplomatically handle stressful situations with tact and patience
  • Outstanding investigative, problem-solving, strategic planning and execution skills
  • Adaptable and responsive to complex and dynamic operational issues
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership planning abilities
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada
