Overview
The General Manager role at a McDonald’s corporate-owned restaurant entails leading a high-volume quick service establishment to profitable success while adhering to stringent standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. This role involves managing a team of Department Managers and collaborating closely with leadership to set and achieve restaurant goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the restaurant's daily operations to maintain profitable performance.
- Ensure the restaurant consistently meets McDonald’s customer service standards concerning quality, service, and hygiene.
- Work with leadership to define strategic goals and develop actionable plans to realize them.
- Direct and support Department Managers by setting their objectives, monitoring progress, and providing coaching for performance improvements.
- Recruit, train, and develop Department and Shift Managers, securing a capable leadership team for the restaurant's future success.
Candidate Qualifications
- Prior experience as a General Manager, preferably in high-volume environments.
- Strong preference for backgrounds in quick service restaurants or hospitality and retail sectors.
- Minimum age of 18 years to qualify for management positions within corporate-owned restaurants.
