Job description
About Adnab
Adnab is a startup focused on creating a SaaS event attendee management platform designed for organizations that conduct recurring events. The platform streamlines registration, QR code check-in, multi-channel communications including WhatsApp, email, and push notifications, live badge printing, payments, and comprehensive reporting—all centralized around a persistent attendee profile that tracks individuals across multiple events. The company is currently expanding its footprint across Africa and other regions, emphasizing strengths such as WhatsApp integration and mobile money support.
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive individual to take full ownership of the business aspects of Adnab including sales, managing client relationships, handling legal and contractual issues, and driving market expansion initiatives. This position offers a hands-on leadership role with significant trust, providing genuine ownership beyond a limited scope. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the founder and independently manage daily business operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire sales process, including outreach, demonstrations, proposals, and securing new client partnerships.
- Serve as the key liaison for existing clients and maintain strong relationships with important partners.
- Manage coordination of legal documents such as Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with support from the founder and legal advisors.
- Lead efforts to expand into new markets, including entry into new countries and establishing local partnerships.
- Represent Adnab at relevant events, conferences, and meetings with partners.
- Collaborate with the founder to define commercial strategies, pricing models, and market priorities.
- Develop scalable, repeatable systems for sales and client management to support team growth.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in business development, account management, or operational roles, preferably within startup environments or SaaS companies.
- Ability to take full ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including competency in drafting and reviewing contracts and proposals.
- Experience or a strong interest in expanding business within the African market.
- Highly organized with a process-oriented approach, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Preference for candidates based in or knowledgeable about Zimbabwe or the Southern African region.
