Role Overview

We seek a dedicated General Labourer based in Darwin to provide practical support during construction projects. This position involves assisting with general site operations including material handling, housekeeping, and labor-intensive tasks essential to smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general labouring duties on active construction sites.
  • Assist tradespeople and supervisors with daily construction tasks.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and well-organized.
  • Support site setup, maintenance, and housekeeping activities.
  • Adhere strictly to instructions to facilitate efficient project progress.
  • Attend all site inductions, safety talks, and briefings.
  • Comply with site safety policies and procedures.
  • Immediately report hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents.
  • Help with receiving, handling, and storing onsite deliveries.
  • Work cooperatively with all site personnel and raise any issues to supervisors.
  • Practice safe manual handling and remain alert to site risks.
  • Foster a positive team environment and contribute to overall productivity.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Previous experience in construction, labouring, or site work is preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong dedication to workplace health and safety standards.
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to put in consistent effort.
  • Positive mindset and eagerness to acquire new skills.
  • Effective communication with supervisors and colleagues is essential.
  • Good understanding of safe manual handling techniques.
  • Physically fit to perform manual labour tasks.
  • Capable of working efficiently in a high-paced construction environment.
