General Labour - Setup Operator (Die Change)

About the Role

DBG Limited is seeking a dedicated Setup Operator specialized in die changes to join the press operations team within a dynamic metal stamping environment located in Mississauga, Ontario. This role focuses on ensuring the proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of production presses to achieve safe and efficient manufacturing with consistent quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely install and remove press dies.
• Operate metal stamping presses while upholding production benchmarks.
• Conduct initial operational checks on machinery and related support equipment.
• Diagnose common press malfunctions and elevate unresolved issues as necessary.
• Document production output, scrap levels, and quality performance.
• Manage handling of materials using forklifts, cranes, and other lifting devices.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety and quality protocols throughout all tasks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of two years operating press machinery.
• At least two years’ expertise in die change and setup procedures.
• Practical experience with forklifts or cranes considered advantageous.

Compensation & Schedule

Hourly wage ranges from $22 to $25 depending on experience.
Shift hours run daily from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
