Position Overview
Join Fetch Technology as a Fullstack Developer specializing in game development. This role requires at least five years of software development experience specifically focused on gaming projects, with expertise spanning both frontend and backend technologies.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Develop and maintain full-featured game applications using TypeScript across frontend and backend environments.
- Utilize React or Vue frameworks effectively, demonstrating a strong grasp of component-based architectures, hook patterns, and methods for performance improvement.
- Design and implement backend APIs, proficient in RESTful services and gRPC protocols.
- Work extensively with PostgreSQL and Redis for database schema creation and query enhancement.
- Architect, split, and maintain microservices following best practices in distributed system design.
- Leverage container technologies such as Docker for streamlined development and deployment pipelines.
- Implement and manage Git-based workflows and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Integrate AI-assisted coding tools including Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Codex to enhance development productivity.
Preferred Expertise
- Experience programming with Kotlin and JVM-based tools like Spring Boot and Coroutines.
- Proficiency in Canvas 2D and WebGL technologies for game animations.
- Advanced use of gRPC and Protocol Buffers for service communication.
- Managing real-time communications via WebSocket protocols.
- Experience working with AWS cloud services such as ECS, Lambda, SQS, and SNS.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Cassandra or DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with reactive programming frameworks including Reactor, R2DBC, and WebFlux.
- Usage of Testcontainers for integration testing strategies.
- Understanding distributed tracing and observability tools like Zipkin and Micrometer.
- Strong UI/UX intuition to collaborate effectively with designers or independently enhance user interfaces.
- Frontend performance tuning, including techniques such as Lighthouse audits, code splitting, lazy loading, rendering improvement, and memory management.
- Optimization for Canvas/WebGL rendering focusing on frame rate control, reduction of draw calls, and resource efficiency.
- Comprehension of animation design principles such as motion design, particle systems, and easing curves.
- Experience in prompt engineering for AI-generated code and embedding AI services into product functionality.
- Skills in integrating LLM APIs like Claude or OpenAI for augmenting product capabilities with AI.
