Job description
Role Summary
As a Subway Worker General Help, you will play a crucial role in preparing, presenting, and serving quality meals to customers while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. This role involves working flexible shifts including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Store food appropriately with proper labeling, wrapping, and following all safety and rotation guidelines.
- Prepare daily purchase items and set up sales displays.
- Conduct routine cleaning tasks, including waste disposal in designated areas.
- Distribute necessary supplies, utensils, and portable equipment efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to approved recipes and production standards, ensuring correct temperatures and portion controls, and promptly report any discrepancies to cooks.
- Interact with customers in a polite and efficient manner, following established service steps.
- Handle customer complaints carefully and escalate to supervisors as needed.
- Ensure strict compliance with all hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Provide services across all retail points including cashier operations and food line serving.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Availability to work various shifts, covering afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- FoodSafe Level 1 Certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with using cash registers advantageous.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage high work volumes effectively.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Prior experience in food service environments like healthcare, hospitality, restaurants, or fast food is preferred.
- Physically capable of fulfilling duties required by the role.
