Full-Time Paint Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver fast and friendly service by proactively engaging customers and identifying their needs.
• Follow the Home Depot GET Model by Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking customers.
• Escort shoppers to relevant merchandise across departments and ask open-ended questions to understand their project requirements and experience level.
• Promote additional services such as Special Services, Tool Rental, Pro Desk, and Pro Services.
• Drive sales by discussing options (good, better, best), suggesting related items and services beyond the department, and educating customers about their entire project.
• Utilize empowerment programs to resolve customer issues effectively.
• Maintain daily stock organization including signage, displays, and cleanliness.
• Continuously update product and service knowledge within your department and adjacent ones.
• Adhere strictly to all safety policies, procedures, and loss prevention protocols.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Work schedule may be flexible including evenings and weekends.
• Warehouse environment with dust, noise, and frequent temperature fluctuations due to open doors.
• Physical tasks include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in retail or trade preferred.

Additional Information

• No travel is required for this role.
• Reports directly to Department Supervisor.
