Role Overview
We are seeking a Full Time Merchandising Coordinator to manage receiving and merchandising operations. You will lead associates to process merchandise efficiently, uphold merchandising standards, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. This role emphasizes teamwork, maintaining store organization, and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a positive experience for both employees and customers.
- Promote integrity and confidentiality within the workplace.
- Organize truck deliveries and prioritize merchandise processing to the sales floor.
- Train and mentor associates on merchandising standards and handling procedures.
- Ensure merchandise is accurately tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
- Collaborate with the Coordinator on Duty to facilitate smooth merchandise flow.
- Supervise associates’ task completion according to the store plan and adjust priorities as needed.
- Monitor team productivity and provide coaching.
- Organize and rotate back stock to enable quick replenishment.
- Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage consistency.
- Uphold cleanliness and organizational standards in the backroom.
- Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste protocols where applicable.
- Communicate priorities and updates effectively with management and team members.
- Give and receive constructive feedback and recognition.
- Partner with management on associate training to enhance team effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, store policies, and procedures.
- Promote customer credit and loyalty programs.
- Support stock loss prevention efforts and safety awareness initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- Flexible availability including nights and weekends.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Able to multitask efficiently and adapt to changing directions.
- Effective team player in collaboration with peers and supervisors.
- Capable of lifting heavy items with or without accommodations.
- Able to train and mentor others.
- Minimum of one year retail experience and six months of leadership experience.
