Role Overview

We are seeking a Merchandise Associate dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming, organized store environment. This role involves adhering to company standards related to operations, merchandising, and loss prevention, with potential cross-training across different store areas to meet business demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exemplary customer service by engaging positively with customers and following established customer experience principles.
• Contribute to fostering a respectful and honest store culture.
• Process customer transactions accurately, including purchases and returns, while managing cash handling meticulously.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs to customers.
• Maintain merchandising standards by preparing merchandise for display according to company procedures.
• Participate in ongoing store recovery efforts throughout the day to maintain an orderly sales floor.
• Ensure cleanliness and organizational standards are consistently met across the store.
• Provide and accept constructive feedback.
• Comply with all labor laws, store policies, and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support inventory shrink reduction initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Strong customer service orientation.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to support store operations.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing directives or unexpected situations.
• Physical capability to lift heavy items, with accommodations as necessary.
• Ability to collaborate well with peers and supervisors.
• Previous retail experience is advantageous.

Benefits and Compensation

The position offers a starting hourly wage between $14.00 and $14.50, dependent on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
