Full Time Cleaning Associate

About The Role

Join Marshalls, part of The TJX Companies, Inc., a Fortune 100 company and a leader in off-price retail. As a Cleaning Associate, you will play a key role in maintaining a spotless and organized retail environment to enhance customer experience. You will operate cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers, carry out tasks like dust mopping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning glass surfaces, while following all operational and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Exemplify high-quality customer service with both internal team members and store customers.
• Foster a positive, respectful store environment grounded in honesty and integrity.
• Manage all aspects of floor care cleanliness, including use and upkeep of scrubbers and buffers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including sales floor, backroom, restrooms, associate lounge, and checkout areas.
• Follow all health and safety policies, including replenishing essential supplies in key areas.
• Be cross-trained to support multiple store functions such as backroom, sales floor, and front end.
• Provide assistance for front end staffing as needed.
• Adhere to merchandising and signage standards consistently.
• Participate proactively in store cleanup and recovery efforts throughout the day.
• Comply with loss prevention protocols to minimize shrinkage.
• Communicate effectively with management and colleagues.
• Respect labor laws and company policies regarding breaks and meal periods.
• Engage actively in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Perform any other assigned duties.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business demands.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Physical ability and endurance to operate cleaning equipment and perform intensive cleaning tasks.
• Adept at multitasking and adapting quickly to changing situations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects, with reasonable accommodations if necessary.
• Works collaboratively as a team member with peers and supervisors.
• Retail experience is advantageous but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

The position starts with an hourly wage between $14.00 and $14.50, depending on qualifications and experience.
