About the Role
Join the compassionate and supportive team at Princess Alexandra Retirement Village in Napier as a Caregiver. Your role will focus on making a significant difference in the lives of our elderly residents by providing dedicated care and support. You will be part of a diverse work environment that encourages personal growth and career advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care and daily needs in accordance with individualized care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Monitor residents closely and promptly report any changes in their condition or behavior to the senior nursing staff.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and respectful living environment that honors residents' privacy and dignity.
- Offer empathetic care by recognizing and responding to the needs of each resident.
- Keep accurate and timely documentation of the care provided to residents.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess either a Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate with a minimum of three years’ relevant experience, or a Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- A genuine empathy for older adults and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life in a residential care setting.
Additional Information
- This full-time position requires a minimum of 30 working hours per week, potentially including weekend shifts.
- The hourly wage ranges from $25.30 to $31.78, depending on experience.
