Full Stack Software Engineer

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product teams, data experts, and business stakeholders to design, develop, test, and maintain systems that optimize how the company engages and retains its audiences. The role offers the chance to work with emerging AI tools to advance software engineering and customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and sustain software applications, services, and integrations within the customer engagement platform.
• Create and improve personalized customer journeys and profiling functionalities.
• Develop backend systems to manage data flow across different platforms and services.
• Implement scalable email and communication solutions using Iterable.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into effective technical resolutions.
• Diagnose and resolve software and system issues efficiently.
• Contribute to best practices in engineering including automation, code quality, and continuous improvement.
• Engage in code reviews and share knowledge across the engineering department.
• Explore and integrate AI-driven tools and latest technologies to enhance engineering productivity and customer outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience delivering software in modern engineering settings.
• Solid expertise in full stack development with React and Node.js.
• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript for building and maintaining web applications.
• Skilled in API design and consumption, particularly GraphQL.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Background in designing and maintaining backend services and data-centric applications.
• Familiarity with software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience using source control, automated testing, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
• Understanding of secure coding practices, software quality assurance, and dependable operations.
• Effective problem-solving skills in complex system environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Active participation in code reviews and adherence to engineering standards.
• A keen interest in continual learning and skill advancement.

Additional Desirable Skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Python programming.

Location and Working Arrangements

This hybrid position offers flexibility with occasional in-office collaboration. You will be expected to attend one of the company’s offices—Dundee, Aberdeen, Glasgow, or London—up to two days monthly for team meetings and critical planning. Remote work is available outside these periods, with the option to use office facilities more frequently if preferred.
