Fragrance Development Manager

About the Role

A leading perfume manufacturing company based in Borivali East, Mumbai, is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Fragrance Development Manager. This position plays a critical role in connecting olfactory creativity with client expectations and delivering successful fragrance products to the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and choose fragrance blends that align with client specifications, current market preferences, and safety standards for application.
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from fragrance evaluation through to production completion.
• Collaborate extensively with R&D teams, marketing, and sales departments to create compelling olfactory profiles.
• Monitor consumer insights, competitor fragrance launches, and trends within the personal care and perfume sectors to maintain competitive edge.
• Communicate client requirements effectively, converting them into clear development directives for perfumers and evaluators.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in fragrance evaluation, perfume development, or related roles within FMCG or cosmetics industries.
• Have a graduate degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Cosmetic Technology, or closely related disciplines preferred.
• Exhibit strong sensory skills with a passion for olfactory nuances and consumer product applications.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, to effectively convey olfactory concepts to stakeholders.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, office-based role with a monthly salary range between ₹20,000 and ₹40,000, depending on candidate skills and interview outcomes. The office is conveniently located approximately 10 minutes from Borivali East station.
