Job description
About Odin
Odin is pioneering the investment infrastructure for tomorrow's private markets, aiming to democratize capital deployment worldwide. Our flagship product is an all-in-one platform designed to streamline the launch and management of private investment firms, handling everything from legal compliance and investor onboarding to KYC/AML checks, payments, tax reporting, and exits. Currently, we serve over 10,000 investors including angels, venture capitalists, and founders, administering upwards of $500 million across investments from early-stage startups to series E rounds. Esteemed companies such as ElevenLabs, OpenAI, SpaceX, xAI, and Anduril, alongside innovators working on synthetic brains and small nuclear reactors, rely on our platform.
Role Overview
As the Founding Senior Talent Partner, you will play a vital role in hiring across senior and business-critical roles, collaborating closely with founders and leadership to define hiring standards and drive outbound talent sourcing. Your role extends beyond managing candidate pipelines; you'll shape the employer brand and build a recruiting engine that proactively attracts top-tier professionals before they actively seek new positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end hiring for senior roles, from defining position needs to onboarding.
- Lead outbound sourcing strategies including market mapping, network development, and referral cultivation to attract passive candidates.
- Conduct thorough hiring kick-offs to align all stakeholders on role requirements, success criteria, and assessment methods.
- Design interview processes focused on evaluating reasoning, behavioral competencies, and capabilities using structured challenges and scorecards.
- Maintain high-touch candidate communication throughout, ensuring every individual feels valued regardless of hiring outcome.
- Develop and amplify Odin’s employer brand via engaging content, community events, and strategic outreach to cultivate visibility among top operators.
- Incorporate AI tools into recruitment workflows encompassing sourcing, screening, candidate experience, operational efficiency, and branding.
- Leverage hiring data to influence decision-making, prioritize requisitions, and provide mentorship to hiring managers.
- Continuously enhance usage of recruitment platforms, interview documentation, and overall interview quality.
- Provide well-founded hiring recommendations, even when they challenge manager preferences.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced recruiter with a discerning eye for quality, able to evaluate candidates beyond resumes by assessing reasoning, behavior, skills, and cultural fit.
- Skilled interviewer who asks probing questions to clarify needs and uncover underlying factors.
- Confident in offering original viewpoints and constructively challenging senior leaders and founders when necessary.
- Committed to ensuring exceptional candidate experiences and maintaining consistency regardless of candidate progression.
- Highly organized with the ability to identify and remove hiring process obstructions swiftly.
- Demonstrated use of AI to enhance recruitment processes with tangible outcomes.
Preferred Additional Experience
- Previous experience being the first or early talent hire responsible for establishing recruiting infrastructure.
- Background in employer branding or talent marketing that significantly impacted candidate engagement and applications.
- Proficiency in analyzing hiring funnel data to guide hiring decisions and coach managers effectively.
Unsuitable Traits for This Role
- Dependence on extensive structure prior to taking action.
- Hesitation in decision-making amid incomplete information.
- Reluctance to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
- Preference for passive, inbound candidate sourcing.
- Tendency to execute briefs without probing or applying independent judgment.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is £65,000 to £80,000 annually, complemented by equity options.
Working onsite in London at least three days per week is expected to foster close collaboration with the founders and teams.
Employee Benefits include
- Private health insurance through Vitality, paid sick leave with support for pregnancy loss and fertility treatments, and mental health assistance via Spill.
- Annual wellness budget of £1,000 for health, therapy, or fitness expenses.
- Enhanced parental leave policies covering maternity, adoption, paternity, and partner leave.
- Employer pension contributions of 4% with options for salary sacrifice.
- Generous time off including 25 annual leave days, 2 wellness days, and flexible bank holidays totaling 33 days.
- Opportunity to work remotely from anywhere globally for up to six weeks per year.
- Additional leave granted for birthdays.
