Job description
Role Overview
As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer at Meta, you will independently manage the full integration of Meta's AI foundation models and tools with leading enterprise partners. Embedded closely with client engineering teams, you'll deploy, test, and enhance large-scale AI deployments while addressing deployment challenges such as latency, interoperability, and secure data integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end deployment cycles of AI solutions by collaborating directly with client technical teams from initial scoping through to production delivery.
- Create and implement robust integrations between Meta's AI platforms and intricate client infrastructures such as CRMs, inventory management, and communication systems, tailoring workflow configurations to specific partner requirements.
- Design scalable architectures, monitor code integrity, and resolve advanced performance and latency issues within active AI applications.
- Develop reusable software components and standardized playbooks to streamline and accelerate future deployment efforts.
- Construct and maintain rigorous testing and evaluation frameworks customized for client environments to assure the reliability, safety, and quality of AI outputs.
- Provide leadership on complex technical initiatives and multi-disciplinary workstreams, including mentoring engineering peers.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven capability in setting technical vision, fostering consensus, and enabling cross-team collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or commensurate practical experience.
- Experienced in writing maintainable, testable software including API development and unit testing strategies.
- Minimum of 6 years programming experience in a relevant language, or 3+ years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing and scaling sophisticated software systems and transitioning AI applications from concept to production.
- Skilled in working alongside external partners and enterprise stakeholders to resolve intricate integration challenges.
- Proficient with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud, leveraging core services to optimize AI workflows by reducing latency and managing compute expenses.
- Established experience in building rigorous AI testing frameworks, including quality controls and safety evaluations.
- Background in regulated sectors like finance, insurance, or healthcare, with knowledge of compliance standards such as SOC2, data residency, and privacy regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead technical projects and relay practical challenges into actionable development feedback.
