About the Role
The Food Services Assistant plays a crucial role within the Support Services Team at Albury Wodonga Health. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering food services to patients, staff, and other authorized clients; cleaning and maintaining assigned areas; waste management; and adhering strictly to the AWH Food Safety Plan and Occupational Health and Safety policies.
Key Duties
- Comply fully with the AWH Food Safety Plan standards.
- Plate meals and assemble patient meal trays accurately.
- Deliver and collect meal trolleys and mid-meal trays across wards and outlying locations.
- Distribute and restock pantry items to wards and departmental areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and restock the tray line efficiently.
- Wash tableware and serving dishes and manage refuse disposal responsibly.

Employment Details and Requirements
This is a permanent, full-time onsite position. Remuneration and other terms are compliant with the relevant state Enterprise Bargaining Agreement or Award. Successful candidates are subject to pre-employment screening including criminal background and working with children checks. Candidates must maintain all vaccinations required under healthcare regulations including recommended COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccinations.
