Food & Consumables Team Associate

Position Overview

The Food & Consumables Team Associate plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service by embodying Walmart's fundamental values and principles. This position involves maintaining, organizing, and replenishing the food and consumables sections to ensure an excellent shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep the department organized by zoning product shelves, tables, and storage areas, ensuring all items are in their proper places.
• Manage stock rotation diligently by checking for expired items to maintain product freshness and safety.
• Ensure all merchandise is clearly signed and accurately priced to assist customer purchasing decisions.
• Comply with strict standards and policies involving cold chain handling, thermometer calibration, temperature recording, food handling procedures, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiry dates.
• Adhere to proper procedures for ordering, clearance, applying markups or markdowns, and the appropriate use of signs, flags, price labels, and tags.

Compensation

The starting pay rate for this role is $16.90 per hour.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 16 years or older.
