Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Fleet Operations Control Specialist responsible for overseeing the real-time monitoring and ensuring compliance of autonomous vehicle operations. This role demands vigilance in anomaly detection, strict enforcement of safety measures, and meticulous maintenance of incident records while facilitating effective communication among operators, customer support teams, and emergency responders.
Key Duties
- Track live sensor data and camera feeds through IoT Portal and Fleet Management System to confirm vehicles operate within established safety parameters.
- Quickly identify and report any deviations or safety breaches.
- Serve as the official record keeper during incidents, maintaining detailed logs with precise timestamps of all vehicle activities, Safety Operator inputs, and OCC actions.
- Safeguard and store CCTV, dashcam footage, and black-box data pertinent to incidents to support regulatory requirements.
- Implement incident standard operating procedures as the communication hub connecting safety teams, operators, field personnel, and emergency services when necessary.
- Filter false alarms and escalate authentic incidents like collisions or emergency button activations to the Incident Controller promptly.
- Assist in crafting factual updates for external agencies, including the Land Transport Authority and Traffic Police.
- Analyze shift logs to pinpoint common near-miss areas or frequent intervention triggers and prepare reports to reveal safety trends.
- Design and partake in simulation drills for various emergency scenarios, such as vehicle fires, network failures, or passenger emergencies.
- Contribute recommendations to enhance incident response procedures, aiming to shorten detection and resolution times.
Candidate Qualifications
- Diploma or higher qualification in Engineering, Logistics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- At least six months of pertinent experience in similar roles.
- Experience in command center operations such as bus, rail, or emergency dispatch environments.
- Competency with fleet management software, complex operational dashboards, and CCTV surveillance systems.
- Keen eye for spotting subtle irregularities in video footage and data streams.
- Ability to maintain composure and meticulousness under pressure, prioritizing accuracy when documenting incidents.
- Understanding of Singapore Road Traffic Regulations and Autonomous Vehicle guidelines (TR68).
