Role Summary
The Fire Engineer will provide specialized knowledge in fire protection, focusing on fire alarm systems, suppression systems, and protection strategies. This position, based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, involves managing projects across the Middle East and offers career growth opportunities in a collaborative, dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate design tasks for assigned projects.
- Develop designs for fire alarm and mass notification systems.
- Manage installation, commissioning, on-site testing, and inspection of various fire systems including FM 200, foam, and wet suppression systems.
- Create detailed technical reports, design drawings, specifications, and presentations.
- Guide and collaborate with local team members.
- Assess design and construction submissions to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct site evaluations of building safety features such as emergency lighting and exits.
- Coordinate with jurisdiction authorities and oversee client interactions.
- Maintain clear communication with the project teams and clients.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years’ experience in code consulting and fire protection system design, particularly in fire alarms and mass notification systems.
- Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical disciplines preferred.
- Highly driven to engage comprehensively in fire protection engineering specialties.
- Proficiency in preparing technical documentation and presentations.
- Experience in reviewing construction submittals for compliance purposes.
- Skilled in conducting on-site surveys and evaluations.
- Strong communication skills to manage stakeholders and multitask across regional projects.
