Role Overview
At Databricks, the Field Technical Program Manager is a key leader in the Professional Services (PS) unit, driving the execution of a portfolio of complex and high-impact technical programs. This role involves championing delivery excellence, aligning programs strategically with customer goals, and mentoring junior team members to elevate overall team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of sophisticated, high-profile programs ensuring alignment with strategic customer objectives.
- Champion operational innovation and efficiency to continuously enhance business unit outcomes.
- Cooperate across multiple concurrent projects to synchronize technical milestones and program dependencies.
- Lead complex technical delivery conversations as the main point of contact, working closely with senior managers to maintain strong project momentum.
- Mentor and support the development of junior Technical Program Managers, refining processes to broaden global impact.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Between 5 to 8 years of experience managing technically complex programs.
- Intermediate level of technical expertise with commitment to obtaining a Databricks Associate-level Certification within six months of joining.
- Proven ability to utilize AI tools to enhance program management efficiency and outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in innovating processes that improve delivery standards and operational performance.
- Possession of (or ability to obtain within six months) a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
