Role Overview

As a Field Research Associate, you will be pivotal in collecting and verifying essential on-site property and tenant information, serving as the backbone of CoStar's industry-leading real estate database. Your thorough documentation of new tenants, occupancy levels, available spaces, and building details will empower our clients with the most precise and comprehensive market insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed fieldwork to gather and confirm comprehensive on-site property and tenant data, including building features, tenant changes, occupancy, and available space.
  • Maintain top-tier data accuracy and completeness by promptly verifying and entering all collected information into the company's database.
  • Provide foundational, verified data that supports all CoStar Group products and services, ensuring collective team targets are achieved.

Physical Demands

  • Be prepared for frequent prolonged standing, walking, and vehicle sitting for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Physically capable of lifting and handling equipment weighing up to 3 kilograms safely.
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm movements required for using tablets or laptops.
  • Perform occasional bending, twisting, and carrying tasks necessary for job functions.
  • Work effectively outdoors across all weather conditions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferably hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years professional experience; previous field experience is advantageous.
  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective time and problem management skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an aptitude for precise data capture and entry.
  • Be tech-savvy, familiar with Windows and Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and able to rapidly learn commercial real estate terminology.
  • Comfortable working independently in the field, traveling extensively, and managing navigation over large geographic areas.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and able to successfully clear a Driving Record/Abstract check.
