Field Operations Lead

Overview

The Field Operations Lead role is based primarily in Qatar and China, focusing on overseeing and integrating Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) principles throughout all project undertakings. This key position involves collaboration with various project stakeholders to support safe and efficient offshore installations and operational processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Embed and prioritize HSEQ standards across all project activities to ensure compliance and safety.
• Contribute to the creation and regular updating of operating philosophies, manuals, and procedural documents.
• Engage actively in safety and risk assessment activities such as HAZOP, HAZID, and operability/maintainability studies.
• Coordinate with project and commissioning teams for preparation and execution of offshore installation and startup operations.
• Identify potential operational risks and production impacts during project phases and suggest effective mitigation strategies.
• Participate in detailed 3D model evaluations and technical workshop sessions to support project accuracy and robustness.
• Act as the Field Operations representative during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for critical equipment.
• Assist in developing operational training programs tailored for new facility operations.
• Provide operational support to site teams during installation, commissioning, and handover stages.
• Document lessons learned and capture operational feedback following project completion to enhance future processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is mandatory.
• Five to ten years of experience related to production operations and project management, with a preference for offshore exposure.
• Robust understanding of production processes, process engineering, and flow assurance techniques.
• Experience in executing and contributing to risk assessment exercises such as HAZOP and HAZID.
• Excellent communication skills and capability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
• Aptitude to thrive in multicultural and complex project environments.
• Readiness to travel to contractor locations and participate in offshore operational support when necessary.
• Fluency in English is essential for this role.
