Field Deployment Engineer

About the Role

We seek a Field Deployment Engineer to oversee the installation and deployment of Mindlabs IoT monitoring devices at various customer sites. This position requires traveling, executing installations, validating device operation, and managing all deployment related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Mindlabs IoT devices at customer locations adhering to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure devices are correctly placed including proper mounting, sensor probe alignment, and reliable connectivity.
• Troubleshoot basic device issues during installation and resolve related problems.
• Confirm the devices communicate successfully with the Mindlabs platform post-installation.
• Photograph installations and maintain detailed, accurate installation records.
• Update device and installation information in designated portals or systems.
• Liaise with customers and site teams during installation processes.
• Assist with device replacement, relocation, and re-installation as necessary.
• Escalate complex technical problems to internal support teams.
• Complete assignments within committed deadlines.

Requirements

• Diploma, ITI, or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical engineering or related disciplines.
• Between zero to one year of experience in field installation, technical support, IoT, electronics, instrumentation, or similar roles.
• Basic knowledge of electronic devices, sensors, and connectivity principles.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and effective communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer premises.
• Capable of independent work and managing several field tasks concurrently.
• Proficient in documentation and reporting practices.

• Ensuring device connectivity following installation.
• Minimization of repeat visits because of installation errors.

Role Ownership

The Field Deployment Engineer holds full responsibility for the assigned installations encompassing site preparation, physical installation, device validation, documentation, and successful deployment closure.
