Job description
Position Overview
The FHE Superintendent holds overall responsibility for managing the Fuels program at the site, ensuring strict adherence to the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and USAF standards. This role partners with the Fuels Functional Manager to formulate and execute plans aimed at improving operational efficiency and maximizing customer satisfaction, while maintaining compliance with the Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Directs and oversees all Fuels department staff providing leadership and supervision.
- Prioritizes Fuels work assignments to meet operational goals.
- Liaises with management and cross-functional teams to coordinate Fuels support needs.
- Reviews Fuels reconstitution objectives and ensures timely completion of scheduled inspections.
- Collects data and submits comprehensive reports detailing Fuels asset conditions, inspections, inventories, reconstitution, and storage.
- Detects asset deficiencies and files Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) as necessary.
- Engages in Quality Corrective Action Working Groups to devise corrective/preventive measures addressing internal and external audit findings and updates QMS accordingly.
- Reports Periodic Maintenance Inspection, Reconstitution, and man-hour metrics as required.
- Monitors timesheet accuracy and approves overtime only when justified.
- Ensures technical inspections and functional checks comply fully with technical documentation prior to dispatching Fuels assets.
- Conducts timely employee performance evaluations as per specified deadlines.
- Assures Fuels personnel receive adequate training aligned with job requirements and maintains updated training records.
- Validates accuracy of parts and materials orders and follows up to confirm timely receipt.
- Manages accountability for all bulk fuel allocated for site generators and vehicles.
- Reviews, verifies, and approves monthly USG-submitted fuels receipts.
- Performs additional duties, including travel as directed by management.
- Works in typical office, maintenance shop, warehouse environments and may be required to operate outdoors for extended durations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency in personal computer usage, including Windows OS and Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Valid driver’s license from home country and capability to obtain host nation’s driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of five years supervisory experience within USAF or equivalent US Service fuels operations.
- Keen familiarity with fuels operations under USAF or equivalent services.
- Eligibility and ability to secure and uphold a Secret US Government Clearance; US citizenship is a requirement for clearance.
- Capability to work under conditions involving high noise levels from equipment operation.
- Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to protocols for assigned tasks.
- Physical fitness to perform job duties including lifting, pushing, or pulling weights up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
Preferred Credentials
- Experience managing a culturally diverse international workforce is advantageous.
- Preferred ten years of USAF or equivalent service supervisory experience.
- Background in refueling maintenance is desirable.
- Fuels Apprentice Course (J3ABR2F031 00AB) or US Service equivalent certification preferred.
- FORCE Course (J3AZR2F051 05AB) certificate or equivalent experience is desired, with commitment to attend within one year if not already certified.
Compensation and Benefits
Estimated total compensation ranges from $65,000 to $71,000. This figure serves as a preliminary estimate and may vary based on several factors including responsibilities, experience, market standards, and applicable laws.
