Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Facilities Technician to manage maintenance, safety, and routine operations within our manufacturing plant. This role suits individuals with mechanical aptitude who take pride in maintaining facility excellence and handling diverse repair and upkeep tasks in an industrial setting.

Core Responsibilities

• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance involving plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and general building upkeep within your skill set.
• Inspect the facility regularly to identify repair needs or safety hazards and maintain maintenance logs.
• Maintain operational integrity of doors, locks, lighting fixtures, shelving, and workspaces.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and assist with relocating equipment, furniture, and workstations.
• Maintain external areas including entrances, walkways, fencing, parking, and grounds.
• Collaborate with supervisors and management to address maintenance requests promptly.
• Oversee safety and organization of tools, equipment, and maintenance areas.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance needs.
• Report immediately any conditions threatening safety, production, or facility function.
• Adhere strictly to all TST safety protocols, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards, and OSHA requirements.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long durations.
• Capability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, and pull.
• Comfort with climbing ladders and working on elevated platforms when authorized and trained.
• Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently; use assistance or equipment for heavier loads.
• Work effectively inside and outside under various weather and temperature conditions.
• Operate safely within an active metal fabrication and production environment exposed to noise, dust, fumes, welding activities, moving machinery, and vehicle traffic, always wearing required PPE.
