Extension Custodian - Hardin County

Position Overview

We are seeking an Extension Custodian for Hardin County located in Elizabethtown, KY. The custodian will be responsible for managing the cleanliness, maintenance, and general upkeep of the Extension office facility, ensuring a professional environment for staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain overall cleanliness and facility upkeep of the Extension office including indoor and outdoor areas.
• Carry out regular cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash and recycling, and stocking bathroom and kitchen supplies.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs including light bulb replacements and minor fixes.
• Conduct occasional specialized cleaning such as floor stripping and waxing, steam cleaning carpets, and ensuring conference rooms are set up appropriately.
• Handle groundskeeping duties like landscaping, mowing lawns, and weed eating to maintain outdoor areas.
• Work under the supervision of an Extension Agent and interact courteously with the public when necessary.

Employment Conditions

Employment is contingent upon passing a national and state criminal background check as required by state law. Additionally, clearance from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services verifying no substantiated child abuse or neglect is mandatory.

Compensation

The salary range offered for this position is $15.61 to $20.00 per hour.
