Expert Platform Engineer

Role Purpose

Design and continuously improve robust, scalable, and secure technology platforms that empower engineering teams to efficiently develop, deploy, operate, and monitor enterprise-level applications and digital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement scalable platform architectures and engineering solutions.
• Establish and maintain platform engineering standards, design patterns, and best technical practices.
• Enhance infrastructure automation through Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
• Design and optimize CI/CD systems, deployment pipelines, and developer tools to streamline workflows.
• Champion containerization, orchestration, cloud platform technologies, and automation initiatives.
• Ensure the platforms meet high requirements for security, resilience, availability, scalability, and performance.
• Lead complex technical issue resolution related to platforms and infrastructure.
• Develop self-service platform features to increase developer productivity.
• Assess current platform technologies and advise on upgrades and modernization strategies.
• Provide expert technical leadership and mentoring to engineering personnel.
• Collaborate closely with architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, SRE, and application development teams to align efforts.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Have over 8 years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure management.
• Demonstrate expert, practical, production-level experience with Kubernetes and AWS Cloud environments.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and automation of CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong foundational knowledge of Linux operating systems, networking concepts, security principles, and cloud architectural designs.
• Experience designing and maintaining platforms that are highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant.
• Skills in monitoring, observability, incident management processes, and troubleshooting in production scenarios.
• Preferred experience in Banking, FinTech, or Payment sectors.
• Good understanding of PCI-DSS standards and security as well as compliance requirements.
