About Lake Imaging
Lake Imaging, established in 2002, is the leading radiology provider in central and western Victoria with over 19 clinics offering a broad range of diagnostic imaging services. The network includes specialist centers in Melbourne North and West, as well as clinics located at St John of God Private Hospitals and community-based clinics in Ballarat, Geelong, and Warrnambool.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our team at the clinics in outer-west Melbourne. This role involves performing a variety of ultrasound examinations and working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals. Your expertise will have a direct impact on patient outcomes through high-quality diagnostic imaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a range of ultrasound scans including general, breast, musculoskeletal (MSK), vascular, obstetrics (1st and 2nd trimester), and occasional pediatric scans.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure thorough diagnostic processes.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to ultrasound services and patient care.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a qualification in Medical Ultrasound accredited by the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
- Preferably have over two years of post-graduate experience; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and further education.
- Proficient in a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including breast, general, MSK, obstetrics, and vascular imaging.
- Experience with Siemens and GE ultrasound equipment is advantageous.
