About Coolum State High School
Established in 1985, Coolum State High School is a co-educational institution situated in the Sunshine Coast Region of Queensland, Australia. The school currently enrolls about 1618 students from Years 7 to 12, fostering a culture grounded in care, respect, and excellence. Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned, detail-oriented Executive Services Officer to join our team on a temporary full-time basis, starting early each school day at 7:00 am. This role involves delivering high-level executive and administrative support to the Principal and the Leadership Team, requiring professionalism, discretion, initiative, and sound judgement. The contract duration is temporary, with extensions not exceeding 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle scheduling, correspondence, and priority setting for the Principal.
- Produce reports, draft documents, prepare meeting minutes, and offer advanced administrative office support.
- Coordinate projects, conduct research on relevant issues, and ensure timely follow-up on tasks.
- Engage with governmental bodies, community members, and other stakeholders effectively.
- Assist with financial processes, procurement, human resources, and overall school operations management.
- Ensure maintenance of systems aligned with confidentiality, accuracy, and adherence to Department of Education policies and compliance standards.
Expected Competencies
The successful candidate must be comfortable navigating Department of Education policies, adept at sourcing and interpreting relevant guidelines, and capable of advising when specialist input is needed. A proactive and highly organized approach is essential, particularly when dealing with sensitive information and anticipating the needs of the Leadership Team.
