About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join a reputable civil construction firm based in Waikato, known for its dedication to quality, supportive work environment, and ongoing project opportunities. Role Responsibilities
You will be responsible for operating excavators across diverse civil construction assignments throughout Waikato. Key tasks include detailed excavation activities, careful maneuvering around active underground services, constructing footings, and trenching near utilities. Precision in operation within confined spaces is essential, alongside maintaining strict safety and productivity standards. You will be part of a tight-knit team that prides itself on workmanship excellence, collaboration, and safely completing projects efficiently.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience operating diggers/excavators.
- Comfortable and skilled with various types of excavation machinery.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety in all tasks.
- Prepared to travel to multiple work sites across Auckland and Waikato regions.
- Possession of a full Class 1 driver's license and WTR certification.
- Capability to successfully pass a drug screening test.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage between $30 and $35, based on experience, plus an additional 8% holiday pay.
- Exposure to a variety of locations and project sites across the Waikato area, requiring some travel.
