Job Summary

The Estimator is responsible for producing thorough and precise cost assessments that guide project planning, bidding, and execution processes. This supports DPR’s profitability and market position by applying strong analytical expertise to evaluate project documents, market dynamics, and historical pricing data. Collaboration with multiple teams to provide innovative approaches and value engineering is essential to enhance project outcomes. The position involves influencing key leaders and stakeholders with transparent, data-backed recommendations. Continuous improvement of estimating practices through knowledge sharing is also a core part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for moderately complex construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor charges, from initial concept through to final pricing stages.
• Gather production data to support project planning and align scope with affiliated companies such as SPW, Prefab, and DBC.
• Examine project drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope details, risks, and opportunities for cost-saving measures.
• Coordinate with Preconstruction Coordinators, project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to compile comprehensive bid packages and provide clear bidder communications.
• Analyze vendor pricing, market trends, and historical data to inform estimate accuracy and assess project risks.
• Participate in value engineering by evaluating cost impacts and suggesting alternative construction materials, techniques, or solutions to increase project value.
• Facilitate estimate review processes by documenting assumptions, qualifications, and clarifications to ensure transparency and consistency with project aims.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience is required.
• Four to six years of experience in estimating, cost analysis, project controls, or related fields.

Compensation and Benefits
