Environmental Services (EVS) Attendant

Job Overview

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of all property areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests upon arrival and departure.

Key Duties

• Clean slot machines, slot bases, ashtrays, trash bins, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, restaurants, counters, furniture, and all decorative items throughout the casino, hotel, and common spaces.
• Perform vacuuming of carpets, sweeping and mopping of tile floors, and promptly address any spills.
• Handle cleaning of biohazardous materials safely when necessary.
• Collect and dispose of trash by removing from containers and placing into dumpsters.
• Wash walkways, ceilings, and woodwork as assigned.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly and safely.
• Consistently deliver excellent guest service by greeting guests warmly, maintaining an enthusiastic attitude, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Represent the company positively and encourage similar conduct among colleagues.
• Carry out any additional related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) mandatory.
• Preferred prior experience in cleaning roles with at least one year of work experience.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Capability to write basic correspondence.
• Effective communication skills to engage with customers, clients, and staff in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Responsive to visual and auditory signals.
• Apply practical understanding to execute straightforward written or oral instructions.
• Problem-solving ability for basic situations with limited variables.
• Physical ability to access all areas of the casino property.
• Lift up to 25 pounds when required.
• Physically capable of bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, gripping items, and standing for the majority of the shift.
• Possess manual dexterity and coordination necessary to operate equipment such as 10-key adding machines and computers.
